There isn't a QB playing or has played that doesn't regress when the OL isn't doing there job.

I love that McVay isn't making excuses and I believe he will adjust.

Jared has elite talent. He needs the OL to play better. Just like the greats who came before him.

But the videos, the stills and therefore the FACTS say Goff has made some bad decisions and throws even when he had time to set up and throw. There were big plays available that he flat out blew or even turned the ball over without pressure.

It is fair game to blame the o-line, but it is not fair to blame ALL the problems on that unit. Goff is responsible too and it has nothing to do with the fact that all QBs will have problems and see their production decline with constant pressure.

Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!

No those aren't facts...they're selective and edited interpretations of the facts. And people who have reviewed the entire game watch the coach's 22 back that.

Look--lowlight vids are as misleading as highlight vids.

The OL has regressed badly.

No qb plays well when the OL is being THAT bad.

Selectively editing a vid that doesn't account for that is not "truth," it's an editorial in images.

.....

If a QB has time to set up and he misses a wide open WR or makes a bad read then it is on him . And Goff repeteadly had his chances to change the outcome of plays and with it the games. Has nothing to do with selective editing. Those plays happened in real life and even his own coach pointed out the mistakes.
Maybe McVay is doing some selective editing too.

Look , everybody knows QB play suffers with bad o-line play but that is no free passs for a QB to not make a play when it is there.

I love Goff and think he will turn the page and learn from this experience but to put all the blame on the o-line is wrong.
Selective blaming if you will.spin tounge smiley

Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QBs who are under that much pressure regress in their play.

The only viable counter-argument IMO is to name qbs who faced THAT MUCH pressure and played well. Just pointing to a slanted vid edited to look a certain way is not a viable counter-argument.

Remember against the Bears the qb was under pressure on 50% of his throws.

That's unusual. That's extraordinary. That's really bad. No qb hangs in there under that much pressure. Warner didn't, Brady hasn't, and so on.

And then look at the stats I posted for the first half of the Eagles game, when Goff is 10 of 10 in their designed short passing game and that leads to 2 FGs. They had to abandon that when they got too far behind and then once again it was pressure city. Here;s that post: [ramsrule.com]

And again I agree with VB on this. I saw what he saw:

Quote

I think first and foremost the Rams need to protect better up front. Goff’s been under pressure far too often the last couple games.

Goff has overwhelmingly been very good on second and third reads. The key is having the necessary time to make those reads and throw those passes. Too many times over the last few games, that time wasn’t there.

(submitted comment, not VB, VB responds after): Goff...is missing some throws he usually makes.

He’s throwing way too much off his back foot. He’s been getting a lot of pressure. And his play refelcts the duress he’s playing under
