some people no matter will always let certain people escape blame.
No one said McVay was all the blame...but he was a significant part of the blame.
The line blocked poorly? For the pass yes...so why in the heck are we throwing time and time again. McVay used play action...and the Bears knew to ignore it.
You can say Gurley lost yards on the run...well...he ran 11 times! That is not committing to the run...period.
One series Gurley busted through for a couple of nice runs and what does McVay do? He puts the ball in the hands of his QB who apparently is not capable of playing in cold weather. Goff looked like he wanted to just get under a blankey and stay warm.
Anyway, McVay insisted on throwing. He completely avoided trying to establish the run on a cold night...a night where the weather didn't suit his QB's talent.
I certainly hope McVay learned from this. 11 carries for Todd Gurley will be an early exit in the playoffs. I don't care what the Oline does.
And some people are too busy buying into the narrative instead of actually watching the game and the dynamics of why they weren't running the ball....sure he could have run the ball more, what makes you think they somehow win the game doing so.
Nobody said McVay was without blame, but the facts are his players didn't perform well enough.
