He is a FA and I bet they already knew they weren't going to resign. So long term, it's no loss at all.
Also, Noteboom had definitely surpassed him as evident by the fact that in the preceding couple of games to him being cut, NB was the first sub in, not Brown.
So it's really not a hand wringing loss. I don't see why it's increased anyone's blood pressure.
