About 8 minutes left in first half as I'm watching now...
Blown opportunities
Best way to describe this first half.
After the Peters pick Rams had 3rd and 4 from about the Bears 12 - Havs completely whiffs on Mack- Goff has to throw it away
Kick the FG instead of firing up this team with a TD to start the game.
Bears get ball and use about 8 minutes of clock on long drive to tie it up.
This next series was crucial - Rams have 1st and 10 about the 40 yard line after moving the ball well for a first down. Goff throws a strike to Woods at midfield, but as usual the refs give us a horrible spot leaving 2nd and 1 instead of what should have been first down!!!
Gurley loses a yard or two on next play and now it's 3rd and 3 - Havs once again can't handle the speed and Mack forces a quick throw by Goff just to avoid the sack - Rams shank punt to start the second qtr
Someone upstairs should have called down to McVay to challenge that call....if they don't have someone up in the booth to let them know what to challenge I will volunteer
Very frustrating to see a good drive stall because of a horrible spot....even more frustrating that they didn't challenge it..this has been a real issue all year long with these officials...so frustrating that they can't get the simplest things right that have such an impact.
Rams defense holds again - the defense is playing very well besides a few long scramble runs by Trub and a 30 yard run by Cohen.
Rams get ball back deep in own territory.... Whit is bull rushed right into Goffs lap and hits him while stepping on his foot at the same time as Goff throws his first pick to Smith.
Ughhh...Woods was breaking open and that would have been a big play. Luckily Rams defense holds tough once again and Bears go three and out and settle for the FG
6-3 Bears
Rams get ball back and once again start moving the ball.... Goff throws a dart to Everett for first down, but nope....flag. Cooks called for illegal shift. Cooks barley moves his foot as he lines up and they call him in that
Two plays later Hekker throws to Everett on the fake punt
ballsy play right there!!! Once again, the refs give the Rams a horrible spot, but luckily we challenge it this time and win the challenge. Rams and Goff start looking pretty good and are hitting throws on this long drive to tie the game with about 4 minutes left with GZ hitting a long FG.
6-6 ball game
Rams defense holds again as Naggy tries to pull some shinanigins on 4th and 1 with a fake punt fail ...end up having to punt as refs stop the game during their trickery BS as they run over the ref trying to switch out personnel ...Naggy is going nuts on sidleline.
Rams get ball back with 1:45 and start looking good again in hurry up mode and get up to about the 40 then...Whit gets called for false start - then Woods drops a pass brings up 3rd and 10 and we punt the ball back...another missed opportunity
Once again defense comes up big and Coleman gets the pick at midfield with 24 seconds left on the clock ..... flag, illegal shift on Gurley, it seems Sully is a bit quick sometimes with the snap as we start the drive going backwards....now with :08 left we go for the Hail Mary instead of trying a quick pass to the sidelines to get GZ another shot...intercepted.
once again, another missed opportunity
The Rams, not the Bears were their own worst enemy in the first half on offense...... defense played their guts out.
Could have been a much different game with just a play here and a call there....credit the Bears though for making things difficult
That's it for now..... I'm afraid to watch the second half when the wheel fell off
