It is brutal to handle...and wearing a glove helps but then you lose the tactile feeling of the ball which often affects the nuance of ball placement.
Sure guys can have good games in the cold...but more often than not...it's a hindrance. imo
A QB just has to make it not a game changing one by minimizing mistakes...
and that comes with lotsa reps to get a feel of what you can & can't do throwing the ball.
That's why I'm not a football purist...and want all games to be played indoor on a good field where players can show their physical skills without having to fight conditions such as weather or a bad field(in a billion dollar industry the Raiders still have a baseball infield on their field??? It's absurd...and very dangerous. imo
Why did they cancel the Mexico game when NFL teams playing on a partial baseball diamond is near worse...and like concrete???
