Can you imagine Eric Dickerson in a McVay or Martz offense? Defenses were loaded up against ED as the Rams passing attack was bordering horrible.
Faulk and Gurley both play in high powered offenses which opens things up for them much more than Dickerson. Dickerson could catch the ball but you have to decide to throw it to him.
On my all time list of RB I have Jim Brown number 1 followed by OJ and then it a group with Barry Sanders, Walter Payton and Dickerson. To me Faulk is down a ways and Gurley is working his way up the list but it is too early for me to place in in the upper elite.
I must admit I loved watching OJ, Dickerson and Sanders all of them had great moves against stacked defenses as they did not play in high powered offenses....the were the offense.
