Every team has a "blueprint". But as Mike Tyson once famously said: "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth".

The blueprint for beating the Rams is the same as it is for every team every week: score more points. The fact is that if you can't outscore the Rams offense, you can't win. The ONLY team to do that is the Saints who has EXACTLY the same scoring average as the Rams. Even high scoring KC couldn't outscore the Rams.

The Rams offense played poorly. Goff missed passes to open Receivers he normally makes. He wasn't anticipating or seeing the field well as he tossed at least 4 possible INTs. Just a bad day for Goff....no sugar coating it. And a good day for the Detroit D (don't forget, they beat the Pats). It happens to every QB once and a while. The difference is that when Brees had his bad day a week ago, his team lost. AND they couldn't put more than 10 points on the board.

Besides: if THAT was a good blueprint, how do you account for the team with the blueprint losing by 14 points? And holding the Rams to ONLY 30 points....well above the league average.

If that is the blueprint then I hope every team copies it. BTW: they won't.

McVay gets it. Every game isn't going to be a work of art.
