unless they played football once I don't think there are more than a handful of announcers that I can identify by 'looks'.

Every time an 'announcer thread' comes up I have to google them to put the name to a face... "Oh, ok, that guy". And it gets worse...

I don't retain that identification... mention whomever's name again in two weeks and I have to look him up again.

You're dead on right about liking some and disliking others... I do that as well... but I never put the comment with a name, or face. Meaning... I have to 'discover' who is good and who isn't every single weekend... .although, I don't, usually... I try to care, really I do... but I don't. - JamesJM
