The thing is, reporters should "do the work". Which means really educating themselves about football. ( Greg Cossell does that. I dont think he played football or did he? ) If i were a sports reporter I'd be watching FILM with some coaches and asking a ton of questions. As part of the job. Do the work. Study the game. Become an expert.

But of course, what they do now is....I dunno. What do they do instead of studying the game they cover?
