Aaron Donald is a difference maker. These nay sayers think that "if only Mahomes...". Well, it was Aaron Donald being the super star he is. It was more about what Donald did more than what Mahomes did. And...Donald will do it again. You have to factor that into the game. Andy Reid will run 5 wide and Aaron Donald will get one on one blocking. What? You don't think he going to get to Mahomes again? Get another strip sack? I'd say yes. Our stars didn't make stupid plays...their stars did...thank you Tyrek Hill and Mahomes.
And somehow they are simply better?
These things happen in games. It's a story line. And if they play again, it will be a different story line. But maybe it's a kick off return for a TD...a blocked punt...Gurley running for 150+...whatever. The story changes. Each team had it's chances. We did a better job of cashing in...that's all.
We could look at this from our perspective...the Cooks drop...Goff's fumbles...Shields falling down...
At the end of the game, Mahomes was running for his life. Donald kept pushing the middle and somebody injected something into Ebukam's butt. Mahomes couldn't sit in the pocket.
And...how anyone could say we can't win at another team's home field after we came back in New Orleans, is frankly, wrong.
