I continue to see posts where this needs to be a focused type of draft. I think balanced far exceeds the need to be focused or overload on one side.
We are at a stage where we need guys who come in and start today...not in two years...three years.
I would not have an issue seeing the Rams do what they have been doing...getting a first contract proven starter and trading picks.
Drafting a multitude of defensive players isn't likely going to get us starters...one...two if we hit the jackpot.
While I agree the focus should be on defense...and a viable TE, the Rams should, and IMO, will likely look to the trade and free agency route to help.
The time is now...not in three years.
Use that first pick to get your linebacker...or trade it.
My positions of great need...
SigningsSaffold
Fowler (I'll reserve this a bit to see how he plays going forward)
Suh
Draft/Trade/Free AgencyLinebacker
Tight End
Cornerback
Offensive Line
Signing Donald/Gurley/Cooks last year was huge. Now...that's done and we can focus elsewhere. Kudos to Snead and Demoff or whoever does contracts. Imagine the distraction that goes away this year.
