To me there's a big flaw with your article. If you just count the NUMBER of comebacks, that really doesn't tell you anything. The thing to look at is the PERCENTAGE OF WINS IN COMEBACK SITUATIONS
And when it comes to that, Goff is actually doing okay, in spite of last Sunday where the Rams could not take the lead back when down 38-35 and they got the ball back with 6:23 left.
Looking only at 2017 & 2018, Rams have been in 4th quarter comeback situations 7 times. They won 3 of them. That puts Goff at 42.8%.
Rank that against this chart, which gives career 4th quarter comeback percentages for NFL qbs as of 2017. Granted it's no longer 2017. But using this chart jusrt as a rough indicator, the only qbs ahead of Goff according to this measure (in 26 games so far, counting Atlanta) are Brady, Luck, and Wilson. And it puts him ahead of guys like Ryan, Roethlisberger, Palmer, Brees, Rivers, and Rodgers.
The argument which gives some caution to Goff's numbers is that the Rams have not won comebacks in big games against conference rivals playing for HFA. That would be the Eagles game last year, and the Saints game this year.
...
AS FOR WARNER............I don;t have a career percentage on him so let's just look at 99 for a kwik glance. In 99 the Rams were in 4 4th quarter comeback games. Titans, Lions, Bux, Titans. They lost the first two and won the final two. All I have to say to remind you of that is "Warner to Proehl" (4 something minutes left), and "Warner to Bruce" (under 2 minutes left).
