one of the things that shocked me the other day was the thread saying Suh has been a waste
you guys actually think Donald had 10 sacks in 8 games after having 11 in 16 all last year because he just got that much better lol!!!
I get the argument that AD benefits from Suh’s presence, Speed. Makes perfect sense.
Now, let me turn it around on you.
Why isn’t Suh greatly benefitting from AD’s presence? Well, we both know that he is, so the better question is, “why aren’t Suh’s numbers significantly better”? Applies to Brockers, too, for that matter.
It almost seems as if they are content to hold AD’s beer, you know?
Suh's position doesn't benefit from surrounding talent as much as Donald's does.
As NT, Suh will always be the easiest person to double. The only way he's going to benefit from AD is if he has a 1 on 1 but he doesn't really get those as an NT.
When he's playing DE, he has gotten some one on ones and he has produced in those moments. I think most of his sacks and pressures have come from those situations.
Brockers OTOH has no excuse unless he's injured. He's literally not been heard from.
As for AD, he has benefitted from Suh. Last year he was doubled 86% of the time. This year it's down to 70%. Sometimes he's triple teamed but I presume that is lower too. We clearly see the results of Suh taking on doubles freeing up Donald.
