As others have said, it's just disappointing to watch the defense at times. But honestly I was expecting something similar to the 85 Bears... regardless of the CB's. Ebukam... I don't think I expected too much from him. I just thought Brockers and Suh would be so dominant that even modest pressure from the edge would be sufficient.
There's a scene in the Waterboy where the coach says to the team "let's go men, Bobby can't win this game all by himself" and then he pulls Bobby to the side and says "you're gonna have to win this game all by yourself"... I get the feeling that is what Wade is saying to Donald. IIRC Donald played every snap. And as awesome as he is, there needs to be someone else applying pressure with some consistency. I don't know what the assignments are... or what Wade had envisioned for the defense.... but its disappointing.
On a side note the "Good teams know how to turn it up when they need to" or whatever that was seems like it could be an excuse to coast a bit early in the game. Not saying it is but it struck me as an interesting thing to say from a psychological perspective.
