Rams got a TO they didn't get points off of and the Saints got a TO they got a TD off of. To me, that's the real difference in the outcome. McVay thought he needed to roll the dice on the fake FG, which I certainly understand. Would have been better odds if Hacker only needed 6 yards rather than 9, but maybe that's where a run by Brown could have helped. In any case, I think the remaining schedule still gives the Rams a better chance for home field advantage than the Saints, so we may get to see a rematch in LA this January. The D should be better by then with Aquib back and Fowler with more experience. 8-1 is nothing to be ashamed of.
