the defense did a fantastic job on the Saints in the second half. They held them to a FG and got the offense the ball back with a chance to take the lead downs 38-35 if they could have scored a TD. Now we can't expect the offense to always score however, in that type of game they forced the Rams to punt and it was huge. On the Saints next offensive series on a 3rd 7 Peters inexplicably gives up a 72 yard TD because he wasn't set. Which is inexcusable and was the ball game
So as bad as the defense was they played significantly better in the second half and helped the Rams get back in the game
They have got to stop giving up these easy big pass plays and easy scores. They don't have to be dominant and they aren't but they can be a lot more sounds on the back end.
They may need to bench Peters
