I know why we were suposed to be better on Defense ( but why?)
Because we got Philips what he wanted (I presume)
But does he not understand anymore what it takes to win. NOT just inside pass rush. Where was the edge. 8 weeks to recognize we need a kid like Fowler out there who actually helped alot today but without the full synch it is hard to know how much better we could be.
We let Quin and Ogletree go and kept Barron and Joyner and added who for Quin. If Littleton is AO's equal where is the gain over Quin?
We wasted time with Easly and Barron and we waisted money and time with Joyner or we are suddenly clueless what to do with the pieces we have.
Sky is not falling, I don't believe that yet and that is not my point. The Defensive struggles is more of a becareful what you wish for. Wade and crew have failed so far to put their vision together or at the very least make it work.
That Thomas TD and the 3rd downs he killed us on tell me someone is sleeping at the wheel.
Is Peters injured or 100%? I have to believe he is not 100% but who decides to play him either way when he is performing so poorly or irratically. Why have we not fixed our situational defense? Why are we not watching our matchups and mismatches better?
No time to lick wounds or feel sorry about a road loss against a fine opponent but at some point we have to wake up and fix where we continue to faulter. We have to admit errors and fix them not keep doing the same thing. I am waiting for some creativity and ability to confuse the other teams offense and actually be disruptive.
I feel ike the opposingh defenses are being coached and coaching better than our is and looks like we are just rolling folk out their based on name recognition and hoping that teams quake in their boots.
