I didn't watch like 95% of the game. I had a tough day in my personal life
before the Rams even played. Wasn't in the mood for a heartbreaker. From what I did see (the drive we tied it until the Saints scored the killer TD), and thinking back on the rest of the season, here's a couple quick thoughts.
Downsides:
- If the defense doesn't figure out how to stop big plays (both running and passing), ain't gonna be no Lombardi at the end of the year.
- For all the big playmakers we acquired, they haven't been elite the way they need to be to shut down other teams. Why keep Suh if he doesn't really make that much of a difference?
Upsides:
- The team did not give up. They climbed out of a bad hole and gave it a lot of heart.
- McVay is young but he's brilliant. Maybe he doesn't call the perfect game, but who does? It's hard to win in the NFL, but we will be competitive as long as he's in town.
