"defense is stout"? According to whom? Sure, if you look at the overall stats they aren't bad, but I don't think I'd call them stout.
That's nitpicking, but taking Gurley off this team puts a TON of pressure on Goff.
Not that I don't think he could handle it.....eventually.
But he's still developing. Like you said, those PA wouldn't be nearly as effective w/o TGII back there.
The defense has weaknesses sure, but it's still the 6th best in the league in Points Allowed and it's by far the best defense among teams with elite offenses, so his point stands.
I for one thought he made a pretty compelling argument against Gurley. Not saying I'm buying it but I thought his position was well reasoned.
The Rams overall are a pretty freakin' good machine. That kind of takes away MVP credentials from any one player.
