That might be a fair point. I know you want to win every game you are playing.....but McVay might be treating it as a marathon.......not a sprint.
Perhaps it's worth taking the risk to 'dumb it down" ....hoping you can squeak by Green Bay at home......so you can unload some of the artillery in New Orleans next week when you might really need it.
In the end....it did take a never-seen-before pass play to Gurley to get the TD in the 3rd quarter. So....he was willing to break out a few new gems.
