I define success in LA to mean selling all the SSLs, all the luxury suites, and all the ad space in the stadium. If they do that, what else do they really need? So to that end I agree: they should provide whatever hype is necessary to make that happen, which means the hype machine only needs to run in and around LA.
Unless hyping the Rams nationwide gets people to watch the NFL
who don't currently watch the NFL I'm not sure why the NFL would be concerned about it. What is the value of making the Rams more popular nationwide if it doesn't get more people to watch the games?
Maybe you have a different definition of what success in LA is?
