The Niners have yet to play a team that is ranked higher than 12th in defensive points allowed. In fact, if you take the avg points allowed for their opponents so far to date.......it would come out to 25.2 points allowed. That would rank 20th in the league.....and Niners have scored 24.7 points against these teams.
While the Rams defense is not playing as well as expected or hoped......they are averaging 19.7 pts per game (7th in the league). So, one could say the Niners are about to play a more stout defense vs what they are accustomed to.
To be fair.....Rams opponents to date are averaging 21.9 pts scored per game. That would rank 25th in the league. So, you could argue that the Rams D has yet to play teams near the top half in scoring (the Chargers are the only opponent in the top half of the league in scoring). So.....is the Rams D REALLY 7th in the league? It certainly doesn't feel like it.
That said, I expect that Aaron Donald is going to feast on Beathard. Donald is getting better with each game, and is due for a "game wrecking" performance.
