I doubt if you can name any NFL QB who has not had 'examples' of those type of passes.. they can all throw 'elite' passes, at times. Throwing a great pass in and of itself is nothing special.

The 'new' is exactly what you said, throwing that many in one game. So yes, he did something 'new'... and it's no small thing. - JamesJM
