What makes anyone think that Santos is going to do any better than Ficken?
Some here are really happy about getting him....until he misses an extra point or a relatively easy FG. Then, it's on to the next guy.
There's a reason Santos was available; he's not as good as the 32 starting Kickers in the league.
In the end, I hope that GZ is back this weekend and we don't have to use Santos. Because I'm not going to feel any more comfortable about him than any other 2nd tier FG Kicker.
Two things here, Rock.
First, Ficken’s results were so poor that a change seemed justified. At least to me, anyway. So bad that almost anyone available would be better.
Second, I doubt that the Seahawk game will come down to a FG attempt. Should be a blowout. And perhaps GZ will be ready beyond that game, so this move may be a moot point in the grand scheme of things.
It’s a move that I was calling for, so I obviously approve.
