Haven't heard a word about Kicker try outs.
Frankly, I think that might be good news.
If the Rams think GZ might be back in a couple of weeks, it might not make sense to find another Kicker. And some of the better available vet Kickers are unlikely to sign on for a 1 or 2 week gig.

It might even mean that Bones has more faith in Ficken that most of us do.

In the end, making the extra points and deep kick offs might be the biggest priorities.
He has a big leg so a 50 yard FG is not out of the question, even though one wonders if he has the accuracy to be able to get it through the uprights.
