to reach their potential. Create options, spread the field, be prepared, have great footwork, know your reads, know defenses tendencies
McVay and Martz are both great in getting players to play at a much higher level than they would for other coaches.
Goff and Gurley
Warner and Faulk. (Faulk was like Gurley in many those years averaging less than 4 yards per carry, but create space and keep the defense guessing and they run wild)
Warner was somebody never even knew if he could play, got cut and was on scout teams and floundered for years (gets some mentoring, some confidence, and put in a good environment and he gets a chance to reach his greatness.)
Goff and Gurley looked like below average players the year before McVay and now are MVP candidates. Gurley has so much more space than went he use to get hit behind the line of scrimmage with 9 in the box and Goff has receivers running real NFL pass patterns.
The similarities are staggering, how, everything changed once these players got a chance in a well coached environment.
