Rams vs. Chargers Postgame Notes

The Rams beat the Chargers, 35-23, and improved to 3-0 on the season.
QB Jared Goff completed 29-of-36 passes for 354 yards and three touchdowns for a passer rating of 123.8.
Goff has seven career 300-plus passing yard games, which is tied for the fourth-most in franchise history with Sam Bradford. The Rams are 7-0 when Goff throws for over 300 yards.
Goff’s passer rating of 123.8 is his fourth-highest passer rating of his career.
Goff is now the third player in league history to pass for at least 350 yards while completing at least 75 percent of his passes in consecutive games, joining Trent Green (2004) and Ryan Fitzpatrick (Weeks 1-2 this year).
RB Todd Gurley rushed 23 times for 105 yards and one touchdown. Marked his second game of the season with 100-plus yards and 13th career.
Gurley notched a 1-yard rushing touchdown. Gurley has at least one touchdown in all three of the Rams first games of the season.
Gurley led the league in scoring going into today’s content. He now has 34 points on the season.
Gurley (3,551) passed Dan Towler for sixth place (3,493) on the Rams all-time rushing list. He now trails Dick Bass (5,417) for fifth on the all-time list.
WR Robert Woods nabbed his first score of the season, a 3-yard pass from Goff.
Woods scored a second touchdown on a 6-yard pass from Goff. Woods now has 19 career touchdowns, seven with the Rams.
Woods led the team in receiving yards (104) and receptions (10). Marked Woods’ first 100-plus yard game of the season and sixth career. Marked his third career game with two touchdowns.
WR Cooper Kupp hauled in his second touchdown of the season on a 53-yard pass from Goff. Marked his longest touchdown reception of his career.
LB Cory Littleton blocked a punt in the endzone and CB Blake Countess recovered it for a touchdown. Littleton blocked two punts in 2017. Marked Countess’ first NFL score of his career.
The Rams are the second team this season to score in all three phases (offense, defense, special teams). The New York Jets have also accomplished the feat.
CB Aqib Talib forced Chargers WR Keenan Allen to fumble. The ball was recovered by S Lamarcus Joyner. The Rams have scored 27 points (3 TD, 2 FG) off turnovers this season.
NT Ndamuking Suh sacked Chargers QB Philip Rivers. Marked his first sack as a Ram and 52.5 career.
DT Ethan Westbrooks sacked Rivers. Marked his first of the season and ninth-career.
According to press box statistics, Littleton led the team in tackles with 10 (five solo).
