You know, Philip Rivers has to be the most anonymous great QB in NFL history.
Now, I am not known for following the whole league. I follow the Rams. And Rivers doesn't have a lot of significant history with us. During his career, we've been in another conference and a poor team to boot.
Still, I must say that Rivers has made very little impression on my consciousness over the years. League conversation about the great QBs always revolves around the usual suspects: Brady, Rogers, Brees, etc. And we hear of the young hotshots. And almost never do I hear those conversations mention Rivers.
I can't think of another case of a QB being that productive and that anonymous!
