Rams put up 33 against a so-so defense. And 34 against a defense with some awfully good players, but who is yet to perform in synch.
They allowed 13 points by a so-so offense, and zero against a HORRIBLE offense.
Chargers put up 31 and 28 against HORRIBLE defenses, but allowed 38 points by a really good offense, and 20 points by a really bad offense.
How they match up is a little more difficult to decide. I love Rivers and think he has been an under appreciated QB throughout his career. BUT....good luck against our secondary.
Rivers is also absolutely immobile and is smart enough to go down when he feels too much heat. I just don't think the Chargers Oline is going to be able to handle Suh-AD-and Brockers pass rush. So a lot is going to fall on our LBs and SS as they cover TEs and RBs.
Anything can happen; but on paper Rams should win this handily and I think they will.
