was that Goff was one of the best if not the best at it he ever saw at the college level.
I think he mentioned Blake (Jeff Blake?) as the only one better.
And then he said that when that starts to click for him in the NFL, it will be lights out.
I was surprised at the intensity of his praise for Goff.
Don't see it yet, but I'm willing to believe!
I thought he was late again on the throw to Cooks, but Cooks made a great adjustment.
The thing to keep in mind is that no QB hits those at a high percentage. None of them.
Well even though he's a bit out of sync right now (yeah I know we should all be that far out of sync lol) and he's young, his real skills are on display, even in the midst of developing.
And I thought Dilfer nailed what those are.
He has good pocket sense, he has great anticipation, he's deadly accurate in the 15-25 range, and he processes things quickly.
I think a lot of Dilfer's energy comes from the fact that he's surrounded by pundits and analysts on the airwaves who for some reason cant' see that stuff. They look for the kinds of things that wow you with Mahomes, Wentz. and Rodgers. Much more dramatic stuff from guys who are all around more athletic. Pocket passers, even good ones, just might not get the same kind of vibe. So I think Dilfer was just reacting to that. Reminds me of a restaurant reviewer who knows that a place gets rated poorly as a mexican restaurant so he goes "dammit it's south american food not mexican and they're really good at it."
