Clowney and Watt looked like good players, but nothing more....certainly not pro bowl. Does Belly boy plan that well??
Texans have no names on O line...no to effective. Amazing how teams blow off the O line like it is "we will draft some 3rd to 6th rounders, develop them and see what happens". THat plan failed Seattle miserably.
Brady and the boys had some breaks....they made it happen with reject WRs when it counted in the red zone. Gronk looks better than he ever did. He is great, ...sort of amazing how the Pats win with a 380 pound LT who is actually a good right tackle...and he went against Clowney all day....and Pats win again. No Edelmen, Amendola or Cooks. Pats keep chuggin, but can they put 30 in the playoffs? NO way.
Saw parts of other games.... a lot of messy plays....maybe that is status quo for week 1...but, I certainly am not enjoying the 2018 NFL....the 1988 season is much, much more entertaining.
With the Patz it's a combo of Brady and their great OL coach and basically scheming everything around that. Brady is one of the few qbs who can be consistently effective even when the OL is subpar (Wilson being another) but that obviously has limits even with them. So it's better when the Patz OL is healthty and of course their OL coach is a wizard.
