He sounds like a smart player who won’t mess up on his assignments.
I wonder why the Chiefs let him go.
The best I can make out on that is that Ragland, who replaced him in 2017, is a bit younger and a lot bigger, plus was a 2016 2nd round pick who you might imagine they were eager to start (as is the way with 2nd round picks). In terms of size, it's 252 lbs v. 238, and the Rams and Phillips seem to be the only people who like smaller ILBs to play the MO spot. Either way RW was not "the future" in KC so got 8-balled.
Nobody in KC complains about his play though.
My guess is also that he is something of a quirky personality and that they were not warming up to that.
Those are just some reasonable shots in the dark.

Where did you get the quirky personality thing from? And basis for that? Just curious.
Was Wilson on an NFL roster in 2017? Did he play at all last year? Seems weird to me.
He started in 2016 and then was moved to inactive in 2017 to make way for Ragland. Ragland was a 2016 2nd round pick and so "the future." Plus as I said bigger.
I got the quirky personality thing from his interviews. He's not a glib smooth public personality and more of a shy oddball type.
In terms of him being a Ram player, I just see him as possibly being another good Rams "reanimated castoff" (RC) like Blythe. Blythe didn't cut it before. Kromer shaped him into a solid interior back-up guy. I see the same thing happening with Wilson, with the difference being that unlike Blythe Wilson was never bad before. Plus Wade would know who Wilson was from being in Denver. That combined with the fact that the Rams do have a long good history of finding those good RC types.
