While I agree I also don't think he's beneath consideration. I've never been a fan of his so I'm probably not as objective about him as someone else might be. My problem with him is I've always doubted his ability to be a passing QB. To his credit, he's been taking off and running more this preseason than I've seen him do in a while and I think even he sees the window on his career slamming shut. He doesn't like or want to run because he gets crushed when he does it. I suppose anyone would.
But the thing that makes Russel Willson special when running is the thing that RGIII doesn't have. Wilson just has a knack for not taking hits when he decides to run. RGIII is the opposite. As much as he puts a focus on getting out of bounds or sliding the point is, he has to focus on it. He has to think when he runs and it makes him far less effective at it. And at some point, he's going to get lit up. But if he doesn't run he's essentially ineffective as a QB. So, the one thing that makes him good is the thing that's going to get him out of the lineup.
And that's just focusing on his abilities on the field. From what I've seen, I wouldn't want him in the locker room of my team.
