It took me 5-minutes to not only get it for free but also a $30 reduction in my monthly bill.
Now it *could* be that we have some movie packages and also we buy our Internet through them
And it *could* be we pay for monthly insurance for the equipment because of the power surges we get that can seriously damage electronics. So that is almost like free money to them.
And it *could* be that they recognize we lose a lot of TV this time of year due to the typical afternoon thunderstorms. We easily lose 5-hours per week and the loss of service has interrupted games for us.
Or, it could be a combination of those things.
Or, none of them, because if I was having to take a wager out I'd say it's probably just corporate incompetence and a lack of a policy that everybody understands is the same for everybody.
Or, it could be you're just calling at the wrong time of day. Did you know that extensive research with Judges in Israel, found the alarming fact that sentences handed out to defendants rose significantly just before lunch time and toward the end of the day. Crime on crime, this happened again and again and do you know why they think it is? Because they're hungry and then tired and hungry!
It's since been replicated in other countries so it's not something unique to Israel and they now think timing with things like manmade disasters is critical with a crazy amount happening in the early hours of the morning.
Aaaaaand another thing, they could have people whose commission structure is such that they struggle if they are giving it away for free to make a decent living.
The 'nice' lady may have just think you'll never cancel because you have had it so long.
I always say it's my wife who is fed up with it and doesn't care for football and would prefer cable, so I need help to persuade her.
Maybe tell her you know a bunch of people who were helped out and see what she says.
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
