Who was right and who was wrong is...for this board...not relevant.

It wouldn't be that way anyway. The debate was never about predicting the exact number. It was about what would be a low or high number. The numbers can come out and people can still say "well that's too low" or "well that;s too high." With various speculations about why it's low or high.

One debate AD will settle though. By reporting and playing, IMO he will end the "are elite DTs really valuable" debate.

Either way I reject the premise that discussions like how much players like this are worth can lead to positions that are "out of whack." It's discussion. There can't be a bad position in discussion. Just different ones. You can't take debate like that personally. I mean why would you. Heck there were people in the discussion saying trade him, cut him, and so on. I don't even remember who they were. I am sure not going to go off on some dumb vendetta against them. There was a controversy, there was discussion and debate, lots of positions got represented, that;s how it's supposed to go.
