a) Ya, I think Ebukam is a key to the defense---an unknown factor. I have high hopes, but he reminds me of Terry Cousins--the corner who was always on his man like glue, but always gave up completions. Something is missing from Ebukam...he has
all the skills, and he plays intelligently, too.
I hope to be wrong.
b) The O line: it is hard for me to understand their great success after 2007 to 2016 failures. I mean, Kromer looks like an incredible find.
c) The Rams seem to be an intelligent team now---big difference from 2012-2016.
d) In 2000, I was hoping Trent Green would play ---
not that I wanted Warner to be hurt, I was intrigued by the possibility that he could be 'as' good as Warner. Well, I have the
same intrigue for Noteboom at LT this year I hope he gets to play this year at RT or LT in clean up time. I have high hopes for him as a pass blocker (small hopes as an in line blocker). If Noteboom pans out, they can go Corner or Edge Rusher in 2019----or hey, trade the pick for a pro bowl Tight end (lol).
e) McVay may change the future of preseason---and we may not have it in 2021-22.
IF we look "synced" in game one on offense, then McVay is the master genius. I think there is no chance we look
good the first quarter of game 1---and hope that it doesn't cost us the game. Hopefully, our defense comes through.
The 2001 week 1 game was atrocious to me---at least the first 1 1/2 quarters...totally out of sync. Go re-watch it. If you wanna. I thought Martz went overboard protecting this skill players that preseason.
