Of course, but he still needs the work right? After all, aren't preseason games (especially the 3rd) important for the starters to play? Maybe he shouldn't have played at all then, huh? (sarcasm intended)

ACL or not, the reason they pulled him was to avoid injury. The same reason McVay doesn't want to play his stars. My point is that these games only get people injured. You can get the same or more benefit from a controlled scrimmage or practice.
