I think the questions at LB are very valid. Good talent and potential but a lot of unknowns and TBDs. Personally I really like both Longacre and Ebukam but they will need reps from others with them. Maybe Easley is one of them but again TBD.
As good as their depth is at CB it is pretty much absent at safety. At least that is my impression based on the roster and reports so far.
Westbrooks is quality DL depth. And I think Franklin Myers can have a role. But I thought the reports on Smart were underwhelming?
On the run D I felt last year they were not bad play in and play out. It was more that they would let a couple long runs happen per game. And I still think that is part of the scheme trade off Phillips uses that stresses QB pressure and turnovers more than being stout vs the run. But Suh will help. And I agree that Ogletree was not a good run defender in this defense. But equally it is again TBD about Littleton as an every down player. Potential is there. I think he will be good in coverage and blitzing. Run defense we will see. I think Kiser will earn reps situationally as the season progresses as a run defender.
