If Donald is truly dumb enough to not play this year, and forfeit nearly $7mil, then there's not a doubt in mind that no matter what deal he signs, he'll never honor it. In 2 years he'll be right back at the table, holding out and demanding more.
First off by not signing a contract he will forfeit 20M + this year and loses future leverage.
I don't agree that he won't honor the contract. His current deal is forced on him by the CBA and keep salaries artificially low versus production.
At some point, maybe the start of the season you have to consider life after Donald. 2 first rounders and a Vet at a similar salary with a backup QB being preferred
I still think they get a deal done before the season starts and that AD is in uniform for the opener.
