It's an old vestige of an old/outdated NFL offseason system.
It no longer fits the times. If Goff goes down in PS....how cheated will you feel???
I have no problem if Goff gets hurt when the games matter/count...that's the cost of playing in the NFL.
However, when most NFL teams are 1 player(Q
away from near total disaster and the amount of money involved...
it makes no sense to have 4 worthless games.
Players are in shape year round now...the entire off-season regimen needs re-tooling.
