I personally can't get aboard with moralizing to star players how they should feel about money.

I can't imagine any player going "well okay I will take less than I am worth because zn would get mad if I didn't."

AD is surrounded by players in the league who got what they were worth the year they came up. He has no obligation to be the one exception.

Heck for that matter imagine Stan Kroenke short-changing himself on a deal cause after all he has enough money as it is.
