Kind of spooky to see 3 OL on the list but in the grand scheme of things I think this is the Rams' new model: let some guys walk (especially when they think they have a replacement in house already), stockpile comp picks, avoid the FA market so they don't lose out on comp picks, and draft well (that could be the hard part).

And they can continue to sign FAs that have been released (e.g., Suh, Shields): they don't affect comp picks. (Only guys who have played out their contract are considered in the comp pick formula.)

In a lot of ways I see similarities to the way the Patriots operate. And I think that's who Snead & company are intentionally emulating.
