never saw a star...just a solid down hill runner. He is no where near the class of Bell.
Le'Veon Bell has a few more years...he is only 26. He's the closest thing to Faulk since Faulk.
The Steelers just won't pay...but they draft well to back it up. They talk about their family environment. BS...it's business.
Put Le'Veon Bell in a Green Bay uni...now you're talking Super Bowl contender with a couple defensive pieces.
The Steelers offered Bell $70 million over 5 years. The franchise tag is $14.5. So, in essence, they offered him an average less than the tag amount. Bell wanted $17 million.
As I write, I'm thinking...maybe the Steelers know that it's the end of the Roethlisberger era and without the QB, the RB won't matter.
Considering the next highest paid RB in the league right now makes $8.5M per year, $14M per year was more then a fair offer....
Although, I think he's better football player then AB and more important to his team, it doesn't really matter because that is just the market these days. You want a get paid in the NFL, become a QB, WR, DE or CB.
