1) The Rams are good at using the cap and horrendous at signing players to LT deals...deals that make sense anyway.
2) I think that Rams will think they will be able to draft a guy consuming less cap.
3) Johnson will have another year of experience so they will have a vet presence in the middle of the d-back field.
4) They could use $8+ million to get Suh back (if desired), sign Cooks (otherwise that deal is a bust).
I would say it could also cover Donald's increase cap hit but I'm getting to the point that this may be Donald's last season as a Ram. If he demands a trade, it will be soon after the season is over.
If Joyner continues to find the market flat, they may get him. But, I don't see $10 million a year.
