If Fisher/Boras were here would Kupp even have been drafted? And if so, would he have been productive at all? Woods?
Starts at the OL IMO. In 2017, Goff had probably twice as much time to throw as he did in 2016.Plus he had a ground game and generally open receivers due to the extra time.
Great that they like their depth but without the OL and running game and a competent OC, I doubt the WR production would be much different. I hate to think about what would have happened to Goff...
OTOH, the WR position wouldn't have looked so bad with an OL, run game and OC like 2017... That said the WR corps is significantly better. The exciting thing about the Rams' 2018 WR's is they fit what McVay wants. Another exciting thing is Goff having some continuity in the offense. He might be a year away but he is on a good track to becoming an elite QB... who could actually have SOME success in a Boras-type offense.
