Fourth, when you can play man coverage on both halves of the field, knowing that you can defeat pretty much any WR (no doubt some you are better off to double sometimes) you can blitz more, dedicate more men to first playing the run, and it forces the QB to hold the ball longer.
Being able to trust your CBs to play man is such a huge advantage to the D, IMHO.
