This passing O is miles ahead of last year. Miles.
Play action is getting heavy emphasis and is gonna be incredibly effective this year and a nightmare for opposing DC’s.
Cooks and Goff are bonding beautifully. Something that Watkins never could. Our deep threat will keep opposing DC’s and secondaries up nights before playing us.
TE in general, and Everett in particular, are gonna be a big part of McVay’s O this year.
I’m glad I don’t have to defend against this O from Goff/Gurley/Cooks/Woods/Kupp/ Everett. Seems impossible to do consistently.
Okay, I’m just gonna say it. McVay seems to be fine tuning this O for some really great things this season. I suspect that we will soon learn that last year’s O was merely a prelude to what McVay/Goff are gonna unleash on the NFL this year. I’m feeling this pretty strongly, y’all.
Lawler is becoming a very pleasant surprise. Looking forward to more good news about ILB and OLB battles. Lots more.
McVay practices are very fast paced and look like fun.
If Whit is impressed by the conditioning and study prep by his teammates, that’s music to my ears. I’m sensing a focus by these players on getting to the SB, not just settling for a winning record.
Fingers crossed for no more big injuries.
