McVay can take the training wheels off a little bit.
Cooks looks like a significant upgrade over Watkins and a perfect fit in McVay’s system.
The TE corps is expected to step up this year.
The entire starting O returns (with the sole exception of the Cooks upgrade) and is healthy. That should allow them to pick up where they left off.
I think that the D is vastly improved. That should mean more possessions, yards, and scores for this Goff led O.
As for Garoppolo? He has to get a grip on his ints and produce for the whole season to convince me that he’s a top QB, much less elite QB.
But back to the Rams chances? Barring a key injury, this team is a legit SB favorite whose only area of doubt is at LB. I’ll take that.
Last year in my FF league Gurley was there for me to pick at the bottom of the 2nd round. And I got laughed at for picking him. Got called a homer. Lots of media guys were calling Gurley Trent Richardson 2.0.
I knew better then, and I feel even stronger now about Goff.
Thing is with these media guys is they act like they are skilled professionals with all their advanced analysis. You'd think they went to 8 years of medical school the way they toot their horns. They don't know anything more than anyone else. All they have is a voice in the media somehow.
