I think this works from a Rams perspective because Donald will be in camp no less than 30 days before the Rams 1st regular season game regardless of what happens with his new contract. (If he doesn't report by that date he won't be an unrestricted free agent next season.) The Rams can afford to play the waiting game ... so why not play?!?
To me that assumes too much that the issue is Donald. For all we know the issue may be the Rams. Or both of them.
