Agree, they should have never traded Jaworski, but CR adored Pat Haden...That Rhode Scholar thing. Haden was unable to throw the ball deep, which was crucial to Knox's offense. Knox liked Harris, Rosenbloom Haden. There were reports even when CR hosted a party of celebrities, he asked people who should be the Rams starting QB and everyone voted for Haden with the exception of Knox and his wife...Unreal. Namath was Knox's last ditch effort because Knox Coached Namath in New York, but everyone knows how that ended.

Knox actually wanted to leave at the end of the 76 season for the Lions job, but CR (Carroll Rosenbloom) did not want Knox to get the Detroit job. Once Knox left, Rosenbloom apparently was set to hire Bill Walsh as the Ram next Head Coach and at the last minute, went with George Allen...I would love to change history.
